Accessible and Inclusive Chauffeur Service
We are striving to become as universally inclusive and easily accessible as possible, for people of all abilities and ages.
Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that this page is neither complete nor perfect, but rather a first iteration of a work in progress.
Our philosophy is that something is better than nothing, and that there are strides to be done on accessibility and inclusion for all involved.
In the coming months we will be adding additional details, photos, experiences/tours and more to further detail our commitments and initiatives.
We are also currently undergoing accessibility and inclusivity training and certification from ATEC in the hope to better look after our Clients.
Feedback and suggestions are welcome and encouraged, please refer to the “Have your say” section at the bottom of the page.
Vehicle doors
We understand that vehicle doors can sometime get in the way of an easy entry or exit.
While our Chauffeurs are there to open and close your door for comfort, they are also trained to assist you in boarding or alighting the vehicle if needed.
Furthermore, our Model X vehicles are equipped with motorised doors (both front and rear) with soft-close latches, requiring no effort to open or close, along with falcon-wing doors in the rear which offer an unparalleled wide access to the cabin given the doors are hinged off the roof and open upwards.
Vehicle height
We acknowledge that boarding a vehicle can be physically challenging for some passengers.
Our Model X vehicles are equipped with Adaptive Air Suspension which allows the car to be lowered or lifted based on your requirements to assist with entry and exit. Furthermore, once on the road, the Adaptive Air Suspension offers a superior ride quality and allows you to choose a softer or firmer ride based on your preference. The lowest suspension height is 15 cm while the highest suspension height is 22cm.
View a video about the adaptive air suspension heights (we recommend muting the background music).
Mobility aids (wheelchairs, walking frames, walking sticks)
We understand that some passengers travel with mobility aids, such as wheelchairs, walking frames, walking sticks, etc.
Our Model X vehicles have ample cabin room along with a lot of storage capacity in the boot/trunk area (950 L) and can easily fit a foldable wheelchair or other mobility aid as needed along additional luggage. Furthermore, the front passenger motorised seat is perfect to accommodate passengers which have difficulties bending their legs.
Cabin air quality
We recognise that some allergens like pollen, pollution or smoke can be extremely uncomfortable or even harmful to some passengers.
Our vehicles are equipped with medical-grade HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, this filter ensures the best quality air inside the cabin whenever the climate control system is on and outside air is entering the cabin. The HEPA filter is extremely effective at removing particles, including pollution, allergens, bacteria, pollen, mould spores, and viruses. Both the HEPA filter and the secondary filtration system also contain activated carbon to remove a broad spectrum of odours and gases.
Furthermore, we can enable a positive-pressure mode (known as “Bioweapon Defence Mode”) on demand to further minimises the amount of outside air that can enter the vehicle by pressurising the cabin with filtered air thus pushing any potential contaminant outwards.
Cabin noise and sound management
We understand that cabin noise and ambient sounds can be a nuisance to some passengers.
While we only operate electric vehicles, which are inherently quieter than normal cars, we take sound-proofing a step further by selectively fitting the most silent tyres available on the market.
While you can always select which music or radio to play during your journey, whether via your smartphone or directly from the vehicle on-board system, you can also request a “quiet ride” where the driver will switch off the music/radio and reduce verbal communication to the minimum required.
Furthermore, we have disposable high-quality earplugs (SLC80 25 dB / Class 4) available on demand if you’d like to heavily attenuate out all noises.
Light sensitivity and vision impairments
All of our vehicles’ front and rear windows along with their glass roof are tinted to minimise glare while maximising UV protection.
For those with light sensitivity we are able to fit additional shades upon request, and passengers are welcome to wear sunglasses or eye masks.
More details to come regarding vision impairments.
Experiences and tours
We are in the process of developing experiences and tours tailored to passengers with mobility difficulties.

Website and booking system
Website
While we already follow some best-practices for accessibility and inclusivity (colours, fonts, images descriptions), there is probably more that we could do and your feedback would be greatly appreciated if you find any page or section difficult to navigate.
We also originally considered deploying an accessibility overlay (e.g. UserWay). Unfortunately, after reading feedback from various users, it became obvious that these accessibility overlays end up making the experience worse for those who need them most, and that often times they are primarily used by organisation to achieve required certifications. This is extremely unfortunate, please let us know if you would prefer an overlay on this website.
Booking system
We recently added an “Accessible” option in our booking system to ensure we only display the most accessible vehicles during the booking process. That being said, our booking system does not allow us to add details to that option or more options for accessibility and inclusion, so please add a note during your quote or booking request to let us know how we can best serve you.
Have your say
While we do our best to cater to all passengers by becoming as universally inclusive and easily accessible as possible, we value your feedback and suggestions on the matter. Please reach out to us here: accessibility@evride.au
